Wildflower Areas in Adderbury

Posted 45 weeks ago (20/06) by Theresa Goss

Some years ago the PC started a Biodiversity initiative by leaving some areas of the village unmown for the whole summer.

These include an area at The Rise; the grass verge at St Mary’s Road; Long Wall Close/Henry Gepp amenity area; parts of the Lucy Plackett Playing Field; and Lake Walk Green.

These areas are now starting to produce a variety of wild flowers which provide sources of pollen and nectar for a wide variety of insects and other species.

Thanks to the residents of the village who maintain and look after this area on behalf of the Parish Council.

Below are photos from St Mary’s Road.
