The Proclamation
The Proclamation of the King (Proclamation of Accession) is the official announcement of the new monarch, King Charles III.
The Proclamation of Accession was read at St James' Palace in London, Saturday 10 September 2022 at 1100 and then again at the Royal Exchange, in front of the Lord Mayor of the City of London at 12 noon.
The Proclamation was also read in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast.
The Proclamation was read at 1300 on Sunday 11 September 2022 by the High Sherriff of Oxfordshire in Carfax.
The Parish Council reading of the Proclamation is at 1600 on Sunday 11 September at St Mary's Church.
