Councillors >Andy Millard

I moved to Adderbury from Portsmouth in 2014 after serving almost 24 years as a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy. I am currently in my final year at The University of Northampton, where I am studying to become an occupational therapist; once qualified later this year, I hope to set up in independent practice in the area and also work with armed forces veterans. Having found the village by chance, I have grown to love both the place and its people and feel honoured to have been invited to serve on the Parish Council. I intend to be fair, open and independently-minded as a councillor and will work with the other councillors to keep this village as the special place it is. When time allows, I use my skills and experience to work with beneficiaries of Mission Motorsport, the veterans’ motorsport charity that holds a special place in my heart, as it picked me up when I was down, and was instrumental in getting me in to university.
